DIY Inspiration: Leather & Tailored

*image from tumblr.com
I've been wanting a jacket like this, I think it's so chic. The problem is, I don't know where to get it. I might just make it, just because I can use it all year round.  I think the tailored fit and leather doesn't ever fade away anyway, so it would be a good idea.

Yellow!

Planning on making something soon, just can't decide on what it is going to be just yet. I bought this pretty stripes yellow fabric, which will either be a skirt or a dress for toddlers. I'll post a picture up as soon as I'm done with the finished product.. Maybe even a tutorial? Stay tuned... ( :

Baby Skirt

So I've been wanting to start sewing baby clothes for the longest time and I finally have the time to do it! So here's my first baby skirt I've made. It's not perfect, but I'm proud of it. I'm planning on selling baby clothes one day. Right now, I'm just trying to be better at sewing again. Im just excited because my sewing machine is finally fixed again!

METALLIC Love!

I know, I know.. Metallics are last season, but I found this great metallic blazer from Zara yesterday and I just HAD to get it because one, they were cute and two, they were on SALE! I just couldn't resist! So I was just looking around and I usually go to the sale section first before anything else because sometimes, they have awesome clothes left that people don't buy. I wasn't really looking for anything particular in clothes, but I was hunting for shoes.  Anyway, as I was looking around the clothes, I found this awesome white coat, a cute, sheer animal print top, and this awesome, awesome metallic blazer jacket! The white coat was way too big on me, the sheer top was damaged and had a hole somewhere, finally, this blazer fit me perfectly, which I was so stoked about.  When I looked at the tag, it said $29.90 from $89.90, I thought that was a steal! I couldn't resist and just had to buy it.  (Wait, it gets even better) As the guy rang up my stuff, it came out to $19.99 or something like that and I thought, "Wow! Amazing!!" I walked away really happy with my purchase because it was cheaper than expected and it was the last one!

This blazer is well made.  The material is a kind of a denim feeling with this bronzy/metallic gold color. I also bought a grey t-shirt from the TRF line that I've been seeing all season, so I decided to finally get and maybe pair it with the blazer.  Funny thing how the model is wearing the same colored shirt with the blazer because I was really planning on pairing it with black pants/jeans and the grey t-shirt! Awesome! It's so cool because you can dress it up and dress it down, which I love! I love buying things that can be used in all around. Whoo hoo!

So Lovely.. Lovely So

It finally stopped raining today, but it was so windy! I wanted to wear a skirt or a dress today, but obviously it wasn't such a good idea.  So as my church outfit, I wore red jeans and leather jacket with combat boots. It made me feel like a rock star! Ha ha! I love my top, it's so dainty and girly because of the crocheted collar, which I think made my outfit a little bit girly.

Spring: The Row

*images are taken from fashionoligie.com

This Spring, color blocking is so much in style, but I love the classic all white outfit.  These are my top favorite outfits from The Row by the Olsen twins Spring 2012 collection. I love the chic, comfortable look that can be worn day and/or night.  As we all know, the Olsen twins are known for their crazy, yet creative design, which makes them stand out. But that's what I love about their clothes, unique and one-of-a-kind.

Warm Sunday

*photos were taken by Miko Saldana

I shot this a couple of weeks ago at our church parking lot (hence, the cars in the background). It was a warm Sunday afternoon and I thought, this would be the perfect opportunity to wear shorts! As you know, it doesn't get too warm in San Francisco and gets cold at night, so wearing tights is perfect because it's so sheer, yet its still good for a cover up.  I love this outfit! I was so comfortable all day. I love my top with the shorts; it really dressed up my outfit a little bit, but the boots makes it a little edgy. I don't know, right now, I'm really a big fan of that "I'm a rock star, I need to make my outfit look edgy and wild" look.

Shorts: Zara
Shoes: DolceVita

Belt, ring, bracelet: H&M

I also wore an over-sized cardigan with it from H&M (not pictured, obviously), but I took it off coz it got really warm.

DIY Sequined Collar Necklace preview

It's been raining here and I haven't had the chance to step outside at all, so today, I decided to show you how I wore my DIY sequined collar necklace! I took a few photos (using my webcam) to show you guys how the finish product looks like.  Here, I'm wearing a shiny, metallic silver top from Zara, a pair of Silence + Noise shorts, a silver bangle from Forever 21 and my collar necklace as my accessories. My outifit is so simple, but because of my collar necklace, it gives it that extra edge to it.

Hope you guys are enjoying your collar necklace because I am!

I'm so obsessed with these Chanel shoes right now! They were shown in the runway for the Fall 2012 show during Paris Fashion Week.  I absolutely love, love the details, clear heels, lace, and two-toned. ABSOLUTELY PERFECTION!

OUTFIT: First Photoshoot!

Hi! This was my very first photo shoot.  As you should know, I'm usually so shy and awkward in front of the camera.  I've always loved fashion and dressing up, but I also do get in my moments where sometimes, I don't care how I look like! I know, it's horrible! Excuse my pictures, I honestly, didn't know what I was doing at all.. so I did what I do best, smile! I have no experience in modeling or whatsoever. I never was into taking pictures of my outfit, but since this day, I want to start keeping track of what I wear.  This blog is mostly for me, but I also want to share it with everyone.   The photos are taken by my  boyfriend's brother, Mark Saldana.  Check out his blog!

Anyway, enough about me. This outfit was so comfortable! Too bad I wore it on a windy day, so my skirt kept flying up.  I love my skirt, I've had it for so long and this is the second time I wore it. I love the print and colors on it.

DIY Collar Necklace

Materials:
Old button shirt with a stiff collar
Scissors
Decorations (optional)
Glue (optional)
Take your boyfriend’s old button up shirt with a stiff collar (one that he’s not going to use anymore). Make sure that all the buttons are unbutton. Lay it on a flat surface with the shirt showing the inside and cut the collar with first button and viola! You have your own collar necklace! You can decorate it by poking studs or other things if you want or leave it as is, either way, it’s cute!

DIY Sequined Collar Necklace

Materials:
Sequin
Fabric Glue

So this is a fun DIY project.  I love my DIY collar necklace so much, so I thought why not bling it out! You can put anything on it, pearls, studs, etc! In my case, I decided to put sequins.  I found an old sequined tank top laying around and will probably never use again.  It was actually in my donation pile.  Anyway, so what I did was cut of the sequins one by one (which took so long, btw), like in fig 1.

Fig. 2

After, I detached all the sequins (fig 2) from the tank top. Make sure you align how far where you want the sequins to be, so they look the same on both sides.

Fig. 3

Spread the fabric glue at the tips of one of the collar and just sprinkled the sequins all over (fig 3).  Then I did the same on the other side.  Check if both sides have the same amount of sequins, if not just add some on parts that are missing.  THen you’re done! ** wait til the glue dries before wearing it!

I love this! I’m not going for the neat look at all.  I just wanted to have some texture on it, to make it stand out when I’m wearing it.
